A Letter to You
Dear Reader,
Today marks the one-month anniversary to the day I released CastlEntertainment to the public, and I would like to address you. I think its important for the writer to get real with their readers from time to time, it’s the key to a healthy writer-reader relationship.
To all my loyal supporters and fans out there, I just want to say one thing – thank you. I really would like to say more than that, because ‘thank you’ is used so carelessly in this world of proper etiquette, but from the bottom of my heart… thank you.
There is no doubt the hardest part to beginning any business is… well, beginning it. And I’m in the business that requires viewership and fan support, and as much as I wish it were as easy as throwing a video on YouTube, and becoming a web sensation over night, it’s not. It takes a lot of work and it’s going to continue to take a lot of work, and I’m ready for that. This website has become my life, and I take a great deal of pride in the work I put into it, and all I want to do is entertain you as best I can so that maybe you’ll come back tomorrow.
This is why your support is so appreciated; I can’t do this alone, and I appreciate any endorsement you can offer. Some of you may look at what I’m doing and think “he’s fine, he’s got backing, he doesn’t need me,” well any involvement you take in CastlEntertainment is your own call, but I notice everything. The slightest fan participation makes my day; a comment, a post in the forum, hell, even a thumbs up signaling that you like my link on Facebook means a lot to me. I have a dream for this, and I’m not going to stop until I achieve that, and once I do, I’m still not stopping. And I never forget those who were there for me, encouraged me, and believed in me. To you I say – thank you.
If you’ve been entertained so far, believe me when I say- you have seen NOTHING yet. I have ideas to make iCAS grow, to take NCX to another level, to bring The Corner to places it has never been, to expand the forum, to add new sections, to bring in new talent, and I can’t wait to get there. But I take it day by day, building the kingdom one piece at a time.
I’ve come a long way: From my third grade teacher reading my journal aloud to the class, to freelance writing for PowerWrestling.com. From beginning Castle’s Corner in the Daily Titan, to starting The New Castle Xperience on Titan Radio. From acquiring my degree in journalism at CSUF to creating my very own website. And here I am, a month into the journey of CastlEntertainment.com, ready to take it to the next level. I’m excited to get there, but I can’t do it without you.
So along with my thanks, I would like to ask you for a favor, and that is simply to support. My goal is to entertain you, but my reward is seeing that I’ve succeeded. I am one person trying to get the world’s attention, this is nearly impossible to achieve alone, and something as basic as re-posting a video, sending a link to a friend, or playing the radio show when you’re hanging out, all mean the world to me, and it might just create a new fan.
In closing, I would like to say; don’t be afraid to be entertained. I always make a point to stay in good relations with those who have been friends of mine over the years, I have no interest in holding beef or having enemies, that requires negative energy and I just don’t have room for that in my mind. I may not have talked to some of you in a long time, but trust me when I say a friendly reuniting is always welcomed. And for the fans I haven’t met; don’t be a stranger. Everything you see, hear, and read is me being me, which is why I know I’ll never run out of material, because until the day I cease to live I will continue to be Castle. You know me now, and you can consider me a friend, and I consider you one right back.
Did this get cheesy? Damn… well that tends to be a side effect of speaking from the heart. In the final burst of my heartfelt letter, I would like to add – THANK YOU!
With love,
~Castle
